Is it good enough to have a better product than the competition?

Well the short answer is No.

There is many examples where new companies in an existing market have better products, but they still don’t win.

Here is a good strategy which allows you to gain market share?

Strategy:

When there is competition in your market (which most likely always is) go for the new customers… Then your new customers convert your existing ones…one by one… not fast but with a good product slowly but surely…

Examples: Uber vs Lyft ; Facebook vs Myspace: New FB users tell their friends to check them out on FB… that’s how they slowly convert Myspace customers…   It’s better when your customers convert existing customers than if you tell you your customers to convert… that rarely works…
